Interpreting rates
The interpreter shall assist the client in any institution
appointed by the client. This typically entails interpreting at
health centres, hospitals, council offices or schools (community
interpreting).
Interpreting charges are calculated according to standard hour.
The hourly rate is £30/per hour.
The following travel surcharges are added to the interpreting
bill:
£10 + the cost of a daily buspass if the interpreting took
place within
the Borough of Waltham Forest
£10 + the cost of a one-day travelcard for the appropriate
zones
if the interpreting took place anywhere else in London.
Interpreting assignments shall be undertaken from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Assignments which would have to end after 7 p.m. shall not be accepted.
Bookings should be placed approximately a week in
advance.
